Appointments
Scheduling:
I offer convenient hours available to fit your schedule. You can usually arrange to have a first appointment within a few days.
Payment:
My standard fee is $175 per session. I also offer free, initial consultations, and I have a few available time slots in which I see clients at reduced hourly rates.
I accept cash, checks, and all major credit cards. While I can provide clients with an invoice to forward to their insurance companies for out-of-network provider reimbursements, I have a solely fee-for-service based practice and do not accept third party payments.
Please Note: You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services. You can read more about Good Faith Estimates here >>
Insurance:
Although I have participated in managed care panels in the past, I no longer do so for several important reasons.
The primary reason is the lack of confidentiality provided by managed care organizations. When working with a client through a managed care plan, I must disclose anything and everything related to my client’s case to the managed care organization. Because the relationships I build with my clients and the work we do together are based on the highest standards of trust, I find my work and those relationships compromised by the lack of confidentiality offered by managed care plans.
Additionally, these organizations often limit the number of sessions regardless of the needs of the client. And these organizations require an endless number of phone calls, forms, authorizations, etc. in order for me to do the work my clients come to me for. Insurance companies are also often unwilling to pay a fair fee consistent with and respectful of my years of training, experience, and expertise. Thus, I do not accept managed care and am not on any insurance panels by choice.
However, that having been said, I will be happy to review the terms of your insurance, which may cover some of the cost of counseling.
